I have heard recently that we are no longer having a big screen down St Andrews, Apparantely we did not ask for planning permission and the council will not let us have one anyway,

If this is true i think we have the right to see the proof of the Planning committee's decision to turn us down as most other clubs have a big screen, Infact at Viler park they have got 2 in each corner,

So Why Cant We Have One ????, Or was it Always Tongue in Cheek From our Board

??

If anybody knows can they let me know

Cheers

If it did get turned down because of planning permission then it would be in the minutes of some council meeting with a high chance of them being available in the public domain. What I would ask is if this is the case then we either have some pretty poor investigative reporters in the city/country or it's simply a vicious rumour.

Yes, Blues have given up on the idea and the screen has been installed in the grounds of Sully's mansion.

What i was going to add was that the Birmingham City Council website appears to be as cutting edge and as up to date as the ma sitting on mars at the moment, in fact he could be the person that updates the site!

I had been told there is a problem with the electricity supply and the running of cables to the screen.

The lighting needs to be altered too apparently.

The most annoying thing about this episode is the way we were promised a scoreboard on Boxing Day, it wasn't in place and nothing more has been said or planned. We've not even been given a hopeful date.

Why do BCFC keep promising stuff then failing to deliver without any further explanation? Its not good enough really.

To be fair I don't believe the club ever said it would definitely be installed on Boxing Day, more that they hoped it would.

I am sure the Marketing Machine that is BCFC will sell us special "Big Screen unveiling" tickets for the rip roarer against er.... Sunderland or Southend.

Boxing Day arrival announcement seems a little bit silly now doesn't it.

Oh come on FFS, there is a big difference between boxing day and to date and beyond, can this club not get anything right? If the problem is where its going to be sited due to the flood light stantion and electrics et el, isn't it common sense that the proposed installation of the scoreboard be properly planned and thought out before making any "promises" or statements?

Its just like the 100 year staduim celebrations hardly any of it materised and was done for the total cost of about £10, and bloody amateurish that was!! then the pitch debacle (snigger) why not wait untill we had a ten day gap in fixtures and don't give me the player safety spin, Bendtner could have done that anytime on any pitch. :banghead: :banghead:

Why don't you just support another club, can I suggest Man U. They are top of the league and never get anything wrong. Maybe if you did that you would cheer up a bit. You miserable git. :(

We'll end up with 2 blokes in white dust jackets putting letters and numbers in slots to spell out team names and scorelines.
